Eric Clapton’s latest album, Old Sock, jumped six positions on Billboard.com’s Top Rock Albums Chart for the week of June 15, 2013. After twelve weeks on the chart, the album moved from #45 to #39 this week, and has peaked during its time on the chart at #3. Old Sock is the 21st studio album for the guitarist and singer Eric Clapton. It was released on March 12, 2013 and was produced by Clapton, Doyle Bramhall II, Justin Stanley, and Simon Climie.
Clapton is best known for his style of playing the guitar. In fact, he holds the number four position in Gibson’s Top 50 Guitarists of All Time and second in Rolling Stone magazine’s 100 Greatest Guitarist of All Time. He is also a three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The tracklisting on the album includes two new compositions and 11 of Claptons favorite songs. Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, and JJ Cale are featured as guests on the album. Songs on Old Sock include:
