Electric Guitar
An Electric Guitar (əlɛktrɪk gətɑr) is a type of guitar that is capable of converting the vibration of the guitar strings into electric audio signals. When a string is played on an electric guitar, the vibration of that string creates an electric current in the part of the guitar referred to as the “pickup.” This electromagnetic currents flow through a connecting cable and, via an amplifier, and comes out of a loud speaker as sound. This process is referred to as direct electromagnetic induction. The signal of the guitar can be altered to produce a different type of sound through using an effects units.
