
As part of a series of amazingly well produced videos, James Taylor has reached out to help aspiring guitar players by teaching his acoustic folk-rock hit Fire & Rain. While this video doesn’t give a detailed description of how to play the entire song, the production quality is so good that it’s worth watching anyway. The far and away best part of this video the split screen view, which shows Mr. Taylor plucking the strings from a camera placed inside his soundhole. Another interesting point is when Taylor explains that this song was written in 1968 while he was living in a basement flat in London, but he didn’t actually record it until he was in Los Angles a year later.
