The English rock band Muse was formed in 1994. They are best known for their extravagant and energetic live performances. Muse fuses many music genres together including progressive rock, classical music, heavy metal, and electronica. The band has released a total of six studio albums, the last being The 2nd Law in 2012.
Matthew Bellamy provides the lead vocal for the band. In addition to being known as the lead vocalist for Muse, he is also the lead guitarist, pianist for the band. He also writes most of the songs that Muse records. His eccentric stage persona and wide vocal range of 3.5 octaves is what makes fans love Bellamy.
Christopher Wolstenholme’s biggest influence on the band’s style of music is his love for heavy rock music. The other members of the band have been quoted as saying Wolstenholme is the only member that brings rock into the band. Christopher plays the bass guitar, kitara, and harmonica. On the album The 2nd Law, he sang and wrote two of the songs, “Save Me” and “Liquid State.”
