This type of music features elements of sound from many instruments including those in the string family as well as the woodwinds, percussion and brass. Large orchestras may also be called symphonic orchestras, and can have around 100 players. Small orchestras may have 50 or fewer players. Music composed for orchestra can refer to music of a classical style, music from a classical period, or music used in movie scores. Movies like Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings are known for the use of orchestral music in their scores.
