The British rock band Mumford & Sons was formed in 2007. The band performs under the genres of folk rock, Indie folk, bluegrass, and folk punk. Each of the band members are multi-instrumentalists, playing instruments such as the banjo, mandolin, and resonator guitar. In 2010, the band received nominations at the Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Rock Song.

Marcus Mumford is the lead singer for the band. In fact, the band’s name originated because Mumford was the most visible member of the band. In addition to providing vocals for the band, Mumford also plays the ukulele, melodica, tambourine, triangle, guitar, drums, and mandolin. For his achievements with Mumford & Sons, Marcus was included in Forbes 30 Under 30 list of music stars (December 2012).

Ben Lovett is a British producer and musician. He provides vocals as well as plays the keyboards, accordion, drums, and electric guitar for the band. His primary instrument is the keyboard and piano. Lovett is the co-founder of Communion, a record label and live music promotion team that aims to create a “platform for an unsigned music scene in the main cities.
