Alabama Shakes has a 10 date tour scheduled for 2013. The tour will start on March 1, 2013 in Boise, Idaho. Ten shows will following with the band wrapping up the tour on March 16 in Jackson, Mississippi.

Alabama Shakes was formed in 2009 and sing under the genres of southern rock, soul, rockabilly, blues rock, and garage rock. The band released their first album, ‘Boys & Girls’, on April 9, 2012. The first single from the album was ‘Hold On’ which has peaked in the Top 10 on the Canadian Rock Charts. In addition, the album itself has peaked at #1 on the UK Record Store Chart.
 
The band’s popularity has been increasing through the year as they make more and more appearances. These appearances include performing the closing set at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival plus appearing on Conan, Late Show with David Letterman, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
 
Band members include Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, Zac Cockrell, and Steve Johnson. All four members have been with the band since the beginning. While on tour, Ben Tanner will join the band playing piano, organ, percussion, and backing vocals.
