The brother’s Hanson have released a new album, Anthem. It was released on June 18, 2013 in the US and is scheduled for release on July 1 in the UK and Europe. The album was released on the bands own label, 3CG Records. This is the 11th album for the band and the first since 2010. To promote the new album, the boys will be touring on their Anthem World Tour between July 18 and December 17.
As brothers, Isaac, Taylor, and Zac Hanson performed together for years before they made it their profession. Their first professional appearance took place in 1992 at the Mayfest Arts Festival in Tulsa. Commercial success came for the boys in 1997 with the release of Middle of Nowhere. All three of the boys provide vocals for the new album as well providing the music. Taylor plays the piano, organ, and percussion while Isaac plays the acoustic and electric guitar plus the bass. Zac provides the beat for the album by playing the drums and percussion. Additional musicians were brought in to provide saxophone, trombone, trumpet, trombone, accordion, and violin on Anthem.
