Atlas Genius released their first studio album on February 19, 2013. When it Was Now is the follow up to Through the Glass which was released on August 1, 2012. Through the Glass was the group’s first EP released with Warner Bros. Records. After the release of the EP, the band did a two month US tour to promote the album. They toured with groups such as Wolf Gang, Animal Kingdom, and Silversun Pickups.
This Indie rock band is from Adelaide, South Australia. The band was formed in 2011 by current band members Keith Jeffery, Michael Jeffery, Steven Jeffery, and Darren Sell. Keith has said that the band was influenced by Beck, Death Cab for cutie, and The Police. The Jeffery brothers say that they enjoy touring with each other.
The song Trojans was originally released on May 4, 2011. The song peaked at #4 on the Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart. Another song on the new album, ‘If So’ will be featured on FIFA 13. Reviews for the new album have already been favorable. A majority of the songs on When it Was Now were written before the band signed with Warren Bros.
