Bon Jovi hit the road with their Because We Can: The Tour on February 10, 2013.  Their worldwide tour started in Washington, DC and will end on December 17 in Brisbane, Australia. Bon Jovi will visit all five major continents: North America, Africa, Europe, South America, and Oceania (Australia).
 
Bon Jovi was formed in 1983 and carries the surname of frontman Jon Bon Jovi. The band formed in 1983. The band had moderate success until the release of their third album, Slippery When Wet (1986). Hit songs from that album included “Livin’ on a Prayer”, “Wanted Dead or Alive”, and “You Give Love a Bad Name”, songs that are still popular in movies and video games today. Slippery When Wet spent eight weeks in the #1 spot on the Billboard 200. This album is also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
 
Current members of Bon Jovi include Jon Bon Jovi, David Bryan, Tico Torres and Richie Sambora. All four members have been with the band since its formation. During their 30 year career, Bon Jovi has taken two hiatuses, 1990 – 1991 and 1997 – 1999.
