Depeche Mode has announced the dates for their upcoming 2013 extensive world tour. The tour will support their upcoming 13th studio album which has not been named yet (as of November 2012). Set to begin in Tel Aviv, Israel on May 7, the tour will run through July 29 with the final concert in Minsk, Belarus. As of now, there are not any North America concert dates set.
Depeche Mode was formed in 1980 and released their first studio album in 1981, Speak & Spell. The last album for Depeche Mode was ‘Sounds of the Universe’ released in 2009. The previous album charted on several different Billboard.com charts including peaking at #1 on the Rock Albums, Alternative albums, and #3 on the Billboard 200.
Current band members of Depeche Mode are Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and Andy Fletcher. Former members of the band include Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder. The band was included on a list of the ’50 Bands That Changed The World!’ published by Q magazine. Depeche Mode has had a total of 48 songs and twelve top 10 albums on the UK Charts.
