Google Music is a part of the Google Play platform, a platform that puts all your music, books, games, apps, and more in one conveniently accessible place on the Web and your Android device. Through Google Music, you can upload up to 20,000 of your own songs to the application and purchase new music from the Google Play Music shop to create an online archive of all your favorite tunes!

You can start at the Google Play website or by downloading the Google Play music from the app store on your Android device. The store offers a multitude of songs for sale and a huge selection of free music. You can sort by genre, featured music, top albums, songs search for something specific using the search bar. These songs are instantly available and can even be pinned for offline listening on a mobile device. In addition, if you use Google+, you can share songs purchased with a friend, or get a free listen when they share something they’ve bought with you.

The Google Play Music app is free, and music playback is unlimited. The only costs associated are with purchasing any new songs. Frequent sales and specials are run to allow every user to get their favorite music at a discounted price. Because the Google Play platform also allows you to store apps, books, magazines, and more in one place, it can be a very convenient place to store all your entertainment media without using and learning several different platforms and applications.
