It’s Time by Imagine Dragons has spent the longest time on the rock Songs chart as of January 26, 2013. In addition, the song hit its highest peak (#4) this week. ‘It’s Time’ has spent 45 weeks on the rock Songs Chart. The song has also charted on the Hot 100, Pop Songs, and Rock Airplay charts.
‘It’s Time’ is the first single from the band’s debut studio album Night Visions. The album was released on September 4, 2012. Night Visions sold over 83,000 copies the first week and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The latest single from the album is ‘Demons’ which has charted at #99 on US Billboard Hot 100 and #14 on US Rock Songs. Imagine Dragons released two EP before they signed a record deal with Interscope Records. Imagine Dragons EP and Hell and Silence EP were both released in 2010.
Imagine Dragons were formed in 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band sings under the genre of alternative rock or indie rock. Current members of the band include Dan Reynolds, Ben McKee, Wayne Sermon, and Dan Platzman. Past members were Andrew Tolman and Brittany Tolman. The band’s name is an anagram however the original word or words is only known by the members of the band.
‘It’s Time’ was nominated for Best Rock Video of 2012 at the MTV Video Music Awards. Imagine Dragons was listed by Billboard magazine as one of the 2012’s Brightest New Stars.
