Maroon 5 is picking up their Overexposed Tour on February 13, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. The yearlong tour started on July 21, 2012. This leg of the tour will take the band across the US and Canada. The last leg will take Maroon 5 to Europe. The opening acts for North America tour dates include Neon Trees and Owl City.
 
Overexposed is the fourth worldwide tour for Maroon 5. The tour coincided with the release of their current album Overexposed which was released on June 26, 2012. Maroon 5 promoted the album with appearances on the Late Show with David Letter, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the Today Show.
 
Three of the current band members have been with the band since their formation under the name Kara’s Flowers in 1989. Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael and Mickey Madden are original members. James Valentine joined Kara’s Flowers in 2001 right before they changed their name to Maroon 5 and Matt Flynn joined the band in 2006.
