Reborn by Trapt debuted at the #1 spot on Billboard.com’s Hard Rock Album of the week for February 9, 2013. Reborn is the fifth studio album for the band. It was released on January 22, 2013. Reborn is the first album released independently. Chris Taylor Brown and Matt Thorne produced the album.
Singles released from the album include ‘Love Hate Relationship’ (October 2, 2012) and ‘Bring It’ (December 7, 2011). The third single set to be released soon is ‘Living In The Eye of the Storm’. Trapt released their first album on November 5, 2002. The self-titled album peaked at #42 on the US music charts. Someone in Control was released in 2005, Only Through the Pain in 2008, and No Apologies in 2010.
Current band members include Chris Taylor Brown, Pete Charell, Dylan Thomas Howard, and Travis Miguel. Howard and Miguel replaced long time band members Monty Montgomery and Robb Torres in 2013. The band is in the middle of the first leg of the Reborn tour. The tour started on January 18, 2013 and it will wrap up on February 10, 2013.
Trapt has reported that Reborn is a new sound for them. The lyrics are thoughtful and deep which is consistent with the bands past songs. The track listing for Reborn contains 11 songs and is 41:14 minutes long. However, a deluxe edition is available with the acoustic of six of the songs.
