The Black Keys will be finishing up their 2012 – 2013 El Camino Tour in July. Throughout the end of March and the beginning of April, the band is touring in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. Leg 9 and final leg will be held in North America.
The El Camino Tour began on January 23, 2012 in Antwerp, Belgium at the Lotto Arena. The setlist for their concerts consists of 18 songs with three encore songs. The Flaming Lips is the supporting act for Leg 9 of the tour. Additional supporting acts during the tour include Band of Skulls, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, Tegan and Sara, Royal Headache, The Maccabees, and Divine Fits. When The Black Keys performed at Madison Square Garden in New York, the concert sold out in 15 minutes.
The band was formed in 2001 by childhood friends Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney. Auerbach performs the vocals and plays the guitar while Carney plays the drums. Gus Seyffert and John Wood joined the band as touring musicians.
