The Strange Case Of… by the band Halestorm is the biggest jumper on Billboard.com’s Top Rock Album Chart for the week of July 6, 2013. Last week the album held the #48 spot but this week moved to #36. The Strange Case of… has been on the Top Rock Album Chart for 36 weeks, peaking at #7.
 
Halestorm released the album on April 10, 2012. It is the second studio album for the band and the follow-up to their self-titled first album that was released in 2009. In addition, Halestorm released Live in Philly 2010 on November 16, 2010. Releases from The Strange Case Of… include “Love Bites (So Do I)” on January 24, 2012, “Here’s To Us” on July 22, 2012, “I Miss The Misery” on January 8, 2013, and “Freak Like Me” on May 14, 2013.
 
Current band members include siblings Elizabeth “Lzzy” and Arejay Hale, Joe Hottinger, and Josh Smith. Halestorm was formed in 1998 and signed with Atlantic Records in 2005. The band performs under the genres of alternative metal, post-grunge, and hard rock. Halestorm has been known to perform as many as 250 shows a year. They have toured with many hard rock bands including Stone Sour, Heaven & Hell, Three Days Grace, and Theory of a Deadman.
