
What About Now by Bon Jovi debuted at #1 on Billboard.com’s Top Rock Album for the week of March 30, 2013. The album is the twelfth studio album for Bon Jovi. It was released on March 12, 2013 in the USA. What About Now is the third album consecutive album for the band to hold a #1 spot on the US charts and the fifth #1 album during their career.
Bon Jovi the band was formed in 1983 by lead singer Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.), guitarist Richie Sambora, drummer Tico Torres, and keyboardist David Bryan. Past members included Alec John Such and Dave Sabo. When the band released their third studio album, Slippery When Wet in 1986 their recognition became widespread.
The band has taken several sabbaticals during their career. During the sabbatical in 1990 – 1991, Jon bon Jovi recorded a solo album for the movie Young Guns II. The song ‘Blaze of Glory’ from that album was another #1 hit for Jon. Now that they are back recording together, they plan to promote their new album during their 2013-2014 tour Because We Can: The Tour.
Jon Bon Jovi co-wrote all the songs on the new album. Richie Sambora, Billy Falcon, John Shanks, and Desmond Child wrote with him. Songs on the album include:
