
AC/DC is set to release a new live album entitled ‘Live at River Plate’. This live album will be the band’s first live album in 20 years. The band’s last studio album released was ‘Black Ice’ in 2008.
AC/DC formed in 1973 and released two album in 1975. The albums ‘High Voltage’ and ‘T.N.T’ were released in Australia only. The first worldwide album released was ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap’ in 1976. Two members, Angus Young and Malcolm Young, have been members of the band since the very beginning in the 70s. Additional current members include Cliff Williams, Brian Johnson, and Phil Rudd.
The group has had 15 albums chart on the Billboard 200. Black Ice spent 35 weeks on the chart in 2008 and peaked at #1. During 1990 – 1991, ‘The Razor’s Edge’ spent 77 weeks on the Billboard 200 and peaked at #2.
‘Live at River Plate’ took place during three different concerts in December 2009 during the Black Ice World Tour. A total of 19 songs appear on the new album. The set list includes:
