
Blink-182 will be releasing their first self-released album since their split with Interscope/DGC. The self-produced album is entitled ‘Dogs Eating Dogs’ and will be released on December 18, 2012. The album was recorded at Neverpants Ranch in San Diego, California and Opra Music Studios in Las Angeles, California. Chris Holmes lent a hand as the co-producer on ‘Dogs Eating Dogs’.
Blink-182 was previously known as simply Blink (1992 – 1994). Current band members include Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker. Hoppus and DeLonge have been with the band since its formation in 1992. The band took a hiatus from performing between 2005 and 2008.
The music style for Blink-182 can be best described as pop punk. It is a combination of pop music and punk rock. The band has cited Bad Religion, The Cure, Pennywise, and The Undertones as having a big influence on their music.
Blink-182 is featured in a documentary entitled One Nine Nine Four. The documentary is about modern punk music and was released on April 18, 2012 on YouTube. The show also featured Green Day, Rancid, and The Offspring. It was narrated by Tony Hawk.
The 19 minute album contains five new songs. American rapper Yelawolf (Michael Wayne Atha) is featured with the band on this album. The track listing includes:
