The American rock band Fall Out Boy released their fifth studio album on April 16, 2013. Save Rock and Roll is the first album from the band since they took a hiatus during 2010 and 2012. The band’s last studio album was released in 2008, Folie a Deux. The album features guest vocals from Big Sean, Courtney Love, Elton John, and Foxes. The first single from the album, ‘My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)’ was released on February 4, 2013.
 
Current band members include Patrick Stump, lead vocals; Pete Wentz, bass guitar, backing vocals; Joe Trohman, guitars, backing vocals; and Andy Hurley, drums, percussion, backing vocals. Former members were Mike Pareskuwicz (2001 – 2003) and T.J. “Racine” Kunasch (2001 – 2003). Originally the band was formed by friends Joe Trohman and Pete Wentz. They were inspired by bands such as The Smiths, Descendents, and Green Day to start their own band. Between 2005 and 2009, the band was nominated for 22 different awards and won 16. In 2006, Fall Out Boy was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
