Kenny Chesney has released his fourteenth studio album, Life on a Rock. The album was released on April 30, 2013. ‘Pirate Flag’ was the first single from the album; it was released on February 4, 2013. As of the end of April, ‘Pirate Flag’ has peaked at #9 on the US Country Chart and #5 on the US Country Airplay Chart. Many of Chesney’s songs and albums have a beach feel to them.
The No Shoes Nation Tour, which will take place in 2013, is the thirteenth official tour for Chesney. He has toured every year since 2001. Eric Church, Eli Young Band, and Kacey Musgraves will join Kenny on the No Shoes Nation Tour. Chesney has come a long way since the release of his first album, In My Wildest Dreams, in 1994. His first #1 hit (She’s Got It All) came off his third album, I Will Stand. Besides the fourteen studio albums Chesney has released, he has also released four compilation albums and one Christmas album, All I want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan.
Kenny wrote or co-wrote all but two songs on the new album. He also co-produced the album with Buddy Cannon. The tracklisting for Life on a Rock includes:
