Phillip Phillips is set to release his debut album ‘A World from the Side of the Moon’ on November 19, 2012 via Interscope Records. The first single from the album, ‘Home’, was released on June 7, 2012 and had over 278,000 downloads during the first week. Phillips hopes to see the same sales from other singles released from his first album.
 
“The World from the Side of the Moon’ was written with several different collaborators including David Ryan Harris, Greg Holden, and Drew Pearson. Phillip also collaborated with his brother-in-law Benjamin Neil to write ‘Drive Me’. Out of the twelve songs on this debut album was written or co-written by Phillips.
 
Phillip Phillips rose to stardom during his appearance on American Idol, Season 11. On May 23, 2012 Phillips was crowned the winner of American Idol and won a recording contract with Interscope Records. Although ‘The World from the side of the Moon’ is Phillip’s first studio album, he has already released ‘American Idol Season 11 highlights’ which is recordings based on American Idol performances.
 
A Deluxe edition of the album will be available which includes three additional songs: ‘Hazel’, ‘Wicked Game’, and ‘Home (Live)’. Furthermore, the Target Deluxe edition will include ‘Take Me Away’ and ‘Thriller’. The track listing on the ‘The World from the side of the Moon’ includes:
