The Mavericks have released their sixth studio album February 26, 2013. In Time was released on the Valory Music Group label which is owned by Big Machine Records. The band describes their sound as Americana, nontraditional country, tex-mex. Two singles have already been released from the album, ‘Born to be Blue’ in May 2012 and ‘Back in Your Arms Again’ in February 2013. The first singled charted at #46 on the US Country chart.
The Mavericks have been performing together since 1989. In 2003, they took a small hiatus but got back together in 2012. Shortly after reuniting the band signed a record deal with Big Machine Records. Current members of the band include Raul Malo, Paul Deakin, Robert Reynolds, Eddie Perez, and Jerry Dale McFadden. Past members include David Lee Hold, Nick Kane, and Ben Peeler. The Mavericks are scheduled to start an American and international tour in March 2013.
‘In Time’ is the first album since the band got back together. Reviews of the album have all been positive and it has already peaked in the top 10 on the US Billboard Top Country Albums. The fourteen track listing includes:
