Let’s start with the root six version. So I’m going to go to the sixth string fourth fret to make this G sharp power chord with my index finger.

Let’s start out with our root six version. That means I go the sixth string and find a G note. That’s at the third fret. With my pointer finger I’m going to push down on that string.

We’re going to start with the root six type of power chord. So first thing I do is find an F sharp note on the sixth string second fret. And I’m going to go there with my index finger. The

The first root six power chord for the F starts with the sixth string first fret. I use my first finger and now I apply the other two fingers in the power chord shape that’s always the same, fifth string third fret, fourth string third fret.


D Sharp / E Flat Power Chord (D#5 / Eb5)

We’re going to start by finding our D sharp note on the sixth string, which in this case means going all the way up to the eleventh fret. And you put your index finger down on that note.

We’re going to start by making the root six version. We go to the sixth string tenth fret with our index finger that means that that’s actually a D note.


C Sharp / D Flat Power Chord (C#5 / Db5)

And so we’re going to apply the formula here of first finding the note. We’re going to make our root six power chord. You have to go to the sixth string and go to the ninth fret.

We need to find a C note on the sixth string in order to make a root six C power chord. I’m going to the eighth fret, that’s a C note.


A Sharp / B Flat Power Chord (A#5 / Bb5)

So our formula is we find the note and then we put our index finger down followed by the remaining. So, the root six version. I’m going to go to the sixth fret, that’s a B flat note or A sharp, and I add the other fingers.
