The Lumineers were formed in 2005 by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites. They are joined by three additional members, Neyla Pekarek, Stelth Ulvang, and Ben Wahamaki. In 2013, the band was nominated for two Grammy Awards, Best New Artist and Best Americana Album and two Billboard Music Awards, Top New Artist and Top Rock Artist.
The band has described their musical style as simple, the type of music that anyone with an instrument can play. The group has released two extended plays, The Lumineers and Winter plus one studio album The Lumineers. Their studio album was released on April 3, 2012 on the Dualtone label. It peaked at #2 on the music charts in the United States and in Canada. The Lumineers album also peaked in the top 10 in Australia, and the UK.

The electronic music duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo released their fourth studio album on May 21, 2013. Random Access Memories pays tribute to the music from the late 70s and early 80s. The only electronic instruments used on the album were drum machines, a modular synthesizer, and vintage vocoders. Daft Punk used live instrumentation in the recording studio on this album instead of the electronic instruments on this album.
Apart from their sound, the band is known for their use of disguises, especially the ornate robot costumes. Their live shows are elaborate, full of visual elements and effects. The band Red Hot Chili Peppers was formed by Hillel Slovak, Flea, Jack Irons, and Anthony Kiedis in 1983 while they were still in high school. Current members of the band consists of Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith, and Josh Klinghoffer. In the last 30 years, RHCP has released ten studio albums, 78 live albums, 11 compilation albums, and three EPs. They have also made a total of 44 music videos. Eric Clapton’s latest album, Old Sock, jumped six positions on Billboard.com’s Top Rock Albums Chart for the week of June 15, 2013. After twelve weeks on the chart, the album moved from #45 to #39 this week, and has peaked during its time on the chart at #3. Old Sock is the 21st studio album for the guitarist and singer Eric Clapton. It was released on March 12, 2013 and was produced by Clapton, Doyle Bramhall II, Justin Stanley, and Simon Climie.
Clapton is best known for his style of playing the guitar. In fact, he holds the number four position in Gibson’s Top 50 Guitarists of All Time and second in Rolling Stone magazine’s 100 Greatest Guitarist of All Time. He is also a three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
